Reviewing and Applying Part Changes
The Part Change feature allows you to review and apply part changes to an estimate. This action appears in the workfile after an invoice is created that contains part price changes or changes to a part number. A supplement must be created if the estimate is locked.
To import part changes using the Parts Dashboard
- Select Dashboards, and then select Parts from the menu bar.
- Select the Unapplied Part Changes option.
- Select the workfile, and then select Update Part Change from the mini-toolbar. The Review Part Changes screen opens.
- Select Apply or Discard for each line item.
- Click OK
To import part changes in a repair order workfile
- Open the workfile.
- If part price changes exist, the message Part changes found. Click here to review the updates is displayed below the workfile toolbar.
- Click on the Click here link. The Review Part Changes screen opens.
- Select Apply or Discard for each line item.
- Click OK.
To import part changes in the Workfiles View screen
- Select the workfile with a Part Changes status in the Updates column.
- Select Estimate, and then select Review Part Changes from the workfile mini-toolbar. The Review Part Changes screen opens.
- Select Apply or Discard for each line item.
- Click OK.
